Ecopol Tech<\/strong> was founded in 2005 with the purpose of transforming the polymer industry through innovation and sustainability. It was founded by Dr. Josep Rocas<\/span>, who brings over 40 years of experience in pharmaceutical, chemical and polymer research. The company is dedicated to developing advanced solutions<\/strong> that address current technological and environmental challenges. Since its inception, Ecopol Tech has been committed to scientific excellence and the development of nano-structured and functional polymers<\/span>, primarily water-based polyurethane dispersions, which create value for society.<\/p>\n

Over the past two decades, Ecopol Tech has evolved from a research company into an internationally recognized leader. The company has patented innovative technologies in encapsulation and nanomaterials<\/strong>, expanded its facilities to scale up production, and established strategic collaborations with universities, research centres and clients across multiple sectors. Its commitment to sustainability<\/span> is reflected in the development of solvent-free or water-based, bio-based, and biodegradable polymers<\/strong>, as well as in process optimization to minimize its environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

Dr. Josep Rocas
Founder & CSO (Chief Scientific Officer)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Josep Rocas Sorolla holds a PhD in Organic Medicinal Chemistry. From 1984 to 2005, he led R&D efforts at several prestigious national and international companies in different countries. Additionally, he was responsible for technology transfer and represented research groups at IQS (Institut Qu\u00edmic de Sarri\u00e0), addressing complex challenges and developing innovative solutions across various industries.<\/p>\n

In 2005, he founded Ecopol Tech SL, serving as its CEO until 2023.<\/p>\n

Currently, he is the Scientific and Innovation Advisor, bringing to the team his extensive expertise, unwavering creativity, and passion for innovation, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.<\/p>\n

Neus Isidro

Neus Isidro has a background in polymer chemistry and extensive hands-on experience in polymer design, synthesis and characterization.<\/p>\n

She has been part of Ecopol Tech team from 2019, working among several business units and contributing to Ecopol Tech growth.<\/p>\n

From January 2024, she leads the Ecopol Tech business unit of Encapsulation Technologies for Laundry, Personal Care and Pharmaceutical Industry.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Haroon Muhammad
Division CEO & Head of Production<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

With a background in Chemical and Industrial Engineering, Haroon Muhammad joined Ecopol Tech in 2020 and has gained extensive experience in polymer design and production management.<\/p>\n

Since 2022, he has been supervising the Production Unit, where he focuses on the optimization of manufacturing processes.<\/p>\n

Since January 2024, he also leads the Advanced Polymers Division, overseeing developments for industries such as Construction, Leather, Textile, Automotive, Personal Care, and other.<\/p>\n

His leadership and expertise have been key to expanding the company's product offerings and driving innovation in these markets.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
